Rome II SE

April 11th, 2006

Rome II Simple Edition manages rsw data structure, you can add/delete/modify models, lights, sounds and effects, and from 1.26 you can view and edit gnd. Ground editor displays tiles and cubes from gnd, allowing you to change cell values, every cube it’s linked to one til, if you use same tile for more than one tile, will not work.
Hope you like it, any suggeston it’s accepted.

I’m looking after Rome II SE and FE! And I think I’m not the only one. :)
Please make Rome in a useable status… 8|
    I’m very impatient… :)
I can write programs too, but only in Delphi… And these file formats are a little difficult for me, but if i could solve this problem I could easily write this prog… :)

You are the only hope on a way to a Ragnarok map editor :D
    Be proud of it ^^

just to ask, if there is any step by step user guide to this Rome II SE 1.23?

  10. Psyny on July 26, 2006 6:50 pm

    Whoa =)
    Really nice work!

I have some requests to do =P

-alternative coords system. to be more like the game one ( starting from lower left corner ).

-let we see the image of the map in the background… that will help a lot.

-This one its possible to do with another program. But please… make an option to edit “walkable” tiles from gat maps…

And again, ROME II owns =)

Joi joi joi, como peta el programa, ay que veeer hay hay hay…. Esa gestió de memoria TPerianaaaaaaaa, dinamic lists i pototorros…

    english version:
hahahahahaha, this is a slug application based on a mobile structured articulation underlined by a worst case study of non polygonal derivation, but we can rise some new versions in a few days. See u tomorrow…

It would be nice to be able to change the water type higher then 05 so we can easily make custom water types

  13. Psyny on November 14, 2006 8:25 pm

Hey, its a bit hard to allocate objects… Since its uses very diferent coords from the game ones… The orign that it uses in object props, is the center of the map… if u can make it equal to the “/where” coords, it will be great!

Even with this issue, the program is great!

  14. Ximo(Offline) on November 14, 2006 11:44 pm

@TrueNoir : Noted, i will try to put it on next release.

@Psyny: If you llok at status bar, there is two coordinate systems, “Rome:”, coordinate used in rsw, directly exported, and “Client” the conversion that the client does (an aproximation), so with this you can aproximate the /where value.

  16. Ximo(Offline) on December 15, 2006 1:37 am

    Check Instructions :
    http://rolaboratory.ximosoft.com/projects/rome-ii-se/help/instructions

Right now Rome does not support grf or unicode folders ( but in time will).

Those intructions have very poor english, thus my difficulty in understanding what needs to be done, and the purpose of these operations. Could you explain the process better to me?

I would like to contribute to the ROME project, I could help you make the site more functional for english users. I’m Canadian so english is my first language.

Got a src code for this? You should release it if the project happens to fall off the face of the earth. Then, others can continue where you couldn’t.

Also, is there a possibility using RSMview and mixing it with ROME? (Havn’t used ROME so I’m not sure if you’ve thought of this yet). If you havn’t thought of it, you should try it. Doing so would save the RO comminity alot of trouble. RSWview is so buggy x.x

  22. Arkanis on July 6, 2007 5:12 pm
